They’re on their way

Once again, four club horses are off to compete in the AIRC Team Show Jumping Championship at the Dublin Horse Show.  They left earlier today and will have a sleep-over in Mullingar tonight, before being presented at the RDS tomorrow morning.  The team:  Mickey McHugh, Rocktown, Falcarragh & Raferagh Shealainn Nua, John McDaid, Castle Doe, Creeslough & Sionnach, Laura Schneider, Belcruit Mountain, Burtonport & Chloe Lass and Patricia Warren, Killult, Falcarragh and Rincrevin, Dunfanaghy & Colourado Kid.  A nervous excitement had been growing within the team in the last few days.  No more preparation time now.  The Championship will begin shortly after the parade of the teams, led by Chef d’Equipe Lawrence Smyth, Killult, Falcarragh, at 3pm on Sunday.  Another club member, Connor Gallagher, Meenabanad, Burtonport will be competing in Combined Training for Northwest Pony Club – Dressage on Saturday evening and Show Jumping on Sunday morning with Colourado Kid.  We wish the Team Donegal Gaeltacht and Connor the very best of luck, and remember to relax and enjoy it!

We are less than a week from the rescheduled Beach Show.  During the week, Roisin will be calling on everyone to help out and a work rota will be in place for Sunday.

Schedule – Donegal Gaeltacht – Beach Show – 29 July 2012

Please note – the tide will be fully in at approximately 3:30pm, and will be touching the rocks just past the entrance for a little while.  This means that access will be restricted around that time, though vehicles will still be able to drive over the rocks –  the choice is yours.  The tide will not affect parking or the operation of the show.

Evolve Menswear, Laurinia Boutique, Kate’s Closet and High Society will all show their fashion at the Fashion Show next week.  It is at 8pm, Sunday, 1st July in Ostan Loch Altan.  It’ll be good craic, and there will be fashion too!

Perhaps the Club could provide some of the models – the male models!  Packie probably will be dressing up.  Mickey too.  They’ve done it before!  Lets see if I can find a photo………ah, there we are:

Who else could model?  Perhaps Stephen, Manus, Rudy, Tommy, Ryan, Ronnie, Connor, Tony, John or Lawrence?  We look forward to seeing you there, in some suit or dress!   You would probably (hopefully) act more respectable then these two:
