A grand total of 22 riders from the 3 clubs joined us for our inter-club ride out from Logues of Cranford . The weather was great, the Craic was good & the views spectacular from high up in the hills on our 10 mile trek. John McDaids traditional Farriery demonstration proved a great crowd puller with a large gathering of local spectators young & old . The Logue family were truly delighted to see their old ‘family’ forge once again lit & working for the first time in many years. At the end of the evening our donation box was counted & we managed to raise a total of €300 for the local community playground which was presented to the committee . It was a great day out enjoyed by all present .
A big thank you to Logues of Cranford for hosting us & providing us with a great location, to all the members who attended & to farriers John Mcdaid & his apprentice Ciaran for their Farriery demonstration.
