Five club members, Rudy, Laura ,Emily, Trish & Lawrence travelled to Mullingar today for the Showjumping Championships. The ever consistent partnership of Laura & ‘Layla’ claimed an impressive victory in the Advanced Open Championship & the Derby Class with multiple clear rounds. Trish & Emily both had good clear rounds in the Advanced Intermediate Qualifier with Emily & ‘lady’ going on to take an overall 6th place in the Championship. Determined not to be outdone by his 2 daughters – Rudy & ‘boysie’ also jumped clear in the Intermediate Qualifier & finished in overall 2nd place in the Championship. Club chairman Lawrence Smyth & his loyal companion the talented coloured mare ‘merrybelle’ delivered 2nd place in the Advanced Primary Accumulator , the pair then went on to claim an outstanding 1st place in the Advanced Primary Championship.
