The weather really does make or break club activities on the beach, and today it made it. The new jumps were shining in the sun and the surface was great for the dressage and show jumping training. There were young horses, experienced horses and all levels of riders. Some horses and riders had a good look at the ‘scary’ new fillers, but in the end everyone was gliding over nicely.
The ground was also great for the cross country and there was a good variety of jumps for everyone. Back at the beach, we got the jumps back on the trailer just as the tide crept over the rocks.
It was a long day, but well worth it. Thank you to Gary Marshall, Grainne McGarry and Dympna Lonergan and members of Letterkenny, Tir Conaill, Benbulben and Donegal Gaeltacht for making it a great day!
